Jungle Chicago Concert reviews
blown oppurtunity to really get a crowd going.
I was disappointed after the show in Charlotte, feeling let down. Ian, the lead singer, had the opportunity to transport the Crowd to Jungle Bliss but failed. The crowd, familiar with the entire album and eager to fully engage, was met with Ian's mis-timed lyrics and unpleasant screeching. His voice, while good, could have delivered the beloved notes of the album, yet he chose not to meet the audience's expectations. Each time the crowd tried to sing along, he altered the lyrics' timing, disrupting the flow. This made it challenging to follow the song and connect with it. Consequently, the crowd resorted to simply listening and recording. It was disheartening to witness my favorite songs from one of my beloved albums being mishandled in such a manner. Ian had the potential to excel, but he fell short. The band was impressive, the drummer was great, and everything else appeared fantastic. Ian had the audience captivated but squandered it. Band rating: 10, vocals rating: 9, ability to energize a crowd to maximum capacity: 2. This is just my perspective. I believe it had the potential to be so much more.
